ATTENTION
MINERAL CLUB MEMBERS AND ROCKHOUNDS EVERYWHERE !!!
We are pleased to announce a Special Event coming this summer -- a Rock Swap and Mineral Auction!!
Come camping the weekend of August 4 and 5, and get a discount on the 2 nights!
Go digging on August 4 and/or 5 and dig for even more hours than usual!
If you are a current mineral club member, get a discount on the mining!
On Sunday, Aug. 5, at 11 am in the Pavilion, the Fulton County Mineral Club will be conducting an Auction of Rocks, Minerals, Gems, Fossils,and anything along those lines that people bring to be auctioned.
So go through those flats that have been sitting in the basement, bring some good stuff to either swap during the weekend or to auction on Sunday, enjoy a weekend of camping in congenial company, and get a good workout digging for Herkimer Diamonds.

Sluicing -- a Different Way to Mine
Like to try something besides “Hunting for Herkimers”? Too hot to pound on rocks? How about playing in the water and finding pretty rocks?! Now you can sluice for 40 different types of gemstone, emeralds, rubies, and 15 different types of fossil! Simply buy a bag of sluicing rough for $6 to $12, grab a screen-box, take it out to the 12 ft-long sluice, and run the water over the material. Plenty of room for up to 6 people at a time.
