Herkimer Diamond Mining 101

Want to dig for Herkimer Diamonds, but unsure of how to do so? Here’s your 2nd chance this season to obtain some mining knowledge before you hit the steel solo. Pat Lamberson with PatRocks Gems & Minerals will be offering a hand to show you how to mine for Herkimer Diamonds, here at Crystal Grove!
Pat is very knowledgeable in the Herkimer Diamond District, is a regular here at Crystal Grove and knows our mine well. This is a great opportunity to soak up knowledge, no matter what skill level!
Pat will be here both Saturday and Sunday to offer his knowledge and guidance in mining for Herkimers! This is free of charge, you just have to pay your mining fee itself. We do have tools in the store to rent, but we HIGHLY suggest bringing your own (heavier hammers, chisels, shovels, trowels, etc.), as they are first-come, first-serve.
